Hello, I am trying to find infomation on a short film that I saw on the show Leonard Nimoy hosted in the 1980s: Standby, Lights, Camera, Action. The short film was about a box-like robotic servant whose owner became increasingly dependent on it. The owner's friend was worried so he took the servant to show his friend how bad the situation had gotten. Back at his own house, however, the friend then started to become dependent on the servant.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I would love to see this movie again.
Thanks, John

Thank you, Maurice. I think that segment might be from the episode highlighting short films I am looking for, but it is not the film.

This short film was extremely prescient and I think people would benefit from seeing it. I also wonder what the filmmaker is doing today.
Thanks, John

Anyway.... I was thrilled to finally find the name of this short film.
I have been searching for it for years. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
"Roublex O. M. F." by Damon Santostefano.

P.S. For all you period enthusiasts: ...............

Much as I was looking forward to the 2017 appearance of this thread, I think it has had it's time. Closed.
