Nah, you're good. Only Gen SciFi's contests have a loose "gotta wear it" policy.

Amy Acker is damn beautiful! Maybe a good reason to watch "Angel" at last

Yeah, she is a cutie...her husband was supposed to be at the con, too, thanks to a bit part in The Punisher (one of the guys who runs the DCC is friends with Tom Jane), but he was in Chicago, instead.

And ya should watch Angel, it was a good show.

Good! For a moment I wasn't really sure if I've done something wrong. I'm writing from Germany and though my English isn't that bad, it can sometimes be very hard to get myself understood. BTW, that's also why I love these avatar contests so much -- I can express myself via a picture. So, again, hopefully no-one thinks I'm doing too much of it ...

Without ever really watching it I have the feeling, that "Angel" has too much -- hm, let's say fantasy -- in it. At least for me. Never got into "Buffy" either. All those vampires.

Gen SciFi was the first forum to have avatar contests, thanks to Spaceman Spiff. When they started, he set the rule that the entries had to be "worn," meanin' that where your animated crewman with the tricorder, your contest entry would be there instead. Over the years, as the contests spread to other forums (TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, SG & Gen Media), the rule became more of a guideline / suggestion, and now, its really up to the one postin' the contest whether to enforce it or not, and even then, they give a heads up for folks to "put it on" a day or so before the poll is posted.

And, yeah, I know I've been here way too long...



And, if ya aren't a fan of vampires, ya probably shouldn't watch Angel after all, considerin' the main character and the majority of villians durin' the first season are vampires.
