A couple weeks back Google Street View added a bunch of new locations, and now claims to cover 99% of the United Kingdom.
So of course that opens the door for a fair amount of armchair sight-seeing in search of Doctor Who locations.
A blogger has started the ball rolling, tracking down ground-level views of places like Wester Drumlins, 13 Bannerman Road, and the intersection where Donna turned left:

Sadly, the 1% not covered yet includes the roadways leading up to Portmeirion, Wales where Masque of Mandragora and The Prisoner was filmed. But you can "drive" around the Upper Boat studios where the shows are filmed. And there were a bunch of bike-mounted "street view" images taken within Stonehenge that might come in handy someday.
Vancouver, BC and area has been almost completely covered for quite some time, for folks wanting to track down filming locations for the TV Movie. Also imaged so far for people wanting to try their luck finding classic-series exotic locations are Paris, Amsterdam, the Canary Islands, and Seville (I think the studio in Rome where Pompeii was filmed is also visible). No Dubai or Croatia, yet.
