Poll Spoilers for Brother: Burnham and Spock: 1000 quatloos says they had sex

So we know
1) Spock and Michael didn't get along at first.
2) Then they got along too well
3) During this period where they got along too well something happened that caused them to stop seeing each other anymore, which Michael feels guilty over.

Since this is TV and Michael was fostered with him, not his biological sister, I'm pretty sure they had sex. Let's see what the general opinion is!

That being said, it's unlikely. It came across that Tyvok was Burnham's first love. That's TV code for that's the first person she banged.

God, no. God, I hope not. He's her kid brother. The Westermarck effect means that we have an aversion to those we grew up around. As a stepkid (and stepsister!), I just... ew.

It's one of the few things that would make me quit watching the show. Keep the incest on Game of Thrones, and far away from Star Trek!

I wasn't sure if I was even going to dignify this thread with a post. And I probably shouldn't. But I'm just going to make two points:

Burnham is almost five years older than Spock and she left when she was 23. And the presumption has always been that Vulcan adolescence is basically the same as that of humans. So given the time frame, she would have been an adult by the time Spock was mature enough to have sex. And let's assume Vulcan has laws about that too.

Add to that the fact that, when it comes to sex, Spock is on a very specific schedule.

Well, if you want to say that game....

Spock isn't 5 years younger than Burnham, he's 4. The equivalent of two undergrads getting together in uni. The average age difference in relationships is 3 years.

Enterprise already showed us that Vulcans mate outside of Pon Farr, it's just that they have to mate (or fight) during it. Additionally, Spock is only half Vulcan - he has got human hormones and desires coursing through that green blood of his - as seen in multiple TOS episodes when he gets to cut loose. Same thing for Burnham. Shes a full human with full human drives on this planet of Vulcans. The only people they can relate to is each other.

What we know:
* Spock was brutally tormented for his human half by other Vulcan children.
* He had issues with being empathic.

Based on these facts, there are other possibilities for the falling out between Burnham and Spock which do not require them banging each other.

Barry Allen is married to his foster sister, so it's not a completely alien concept to general audiences.
