Did Lenaris Jau get out of Gallitep at the end of the novel? The last we see of him he is helping gather people for transport but nothing is mentioned after that.

Yes, he got out. From "Shakaar"...
LENARIS: "I've wanted to thank you for a long time. I had a brother at Gallitep when you liberated the camp."

And Kira didn't wonder what had become of her unnamed aide. Though not explicitly stated, it sounds like he got out safely.
