Spock's parents will be in Trek XI

Temis the Vorta

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
So who plays them? I'll start the bidding with...

Sarek - Robert Duvall

Amanda - Julianne Moore

The Bakula & Blalock thread raised an interesting idea. Those two actually look like they could have a son who looks like Zach Quinto. But I'd be lynched by the Trip/T'Pol shippers so I won't say it. :D

For the love of all that's holy, please, NO Julianne Moore.

She just can't act.

Period.

I'd rather see Robert Duvall play Amanda than Julianne.

I though we decided James Purefoy should be Sarek.

Actually, I hate to say it, but I agree with you. Zach Quinto DOES look like he could be the product of Blalock and Bakula.

Seriously.

Not that I'm any big shipper when it comes to Trek or anything.

Still, there is a built-in symmetry there.

And besides...Trip is dead. She can't mourn forever. :p

An excellent choice too, imho. HE looks the part and can pull off the somewhat limited range the role of Sarek would require standing on his head.

Purfoy's not at all the Sarek type, tho I did briefly consider the guy who played Caesar (Ciaran Hinds) for the role, if only for the bone structure. ;)

Purefoy definitely has a resemblance to the late Mark Lenard, IMHO. I could also see Ciaran Hinds (Caesar in Rome) in the part.

Another vote for Ciaran Hinds. His mother is harder, though, Jane Wyatt was just one of those prim character actresses that no longer exist.

No wonder the script is "Verbose" all these cameos will eat up a lot of "Verboseness" won't they ?

It's 'verbosity'. ;) Judging from STARTREK11's evidence, this film is going to be like a Bulwer-Lytton novel.

James Purefoy is hot, but I agree with the comment about Hinds. Purefoy would make a good Romulan though! Purefoy would also make an *excellent* Avon from Blake's 7!

Space. It was a dark, and stormy frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Suddenly a shot rang out and its mission: To boldly go where no verbosity has gone before. ;)
