Yesterday's Son is a favorite of mine that I've reread several times over the years. A very interesting story that springs from a "What if . . . " question related to "All Our Yesterdays."

It was published in 1983, though, so probably doesn't match up with a lot of the later continuity.

Vulcan’s Forge and Vulcan’s Heart are good selections, being able to explore Spock in the time between Star Trek VI and Unification.

I've read it and the sequel and can think of no continuity issues with later canon off the top of my head. They're pretty self-contained stories.
