Spock/ Quintos Photo On Facebook

I thought I'd check out the Star Trek XI groups on Facebook, and came across one entitled "Star Trek XI" <gasp!>

There are pictures there, some of just a bunch of BS, but three of Quinto's dessed up as Spock. I can't link it because you need to open a facebook account- and I wouldn't waste your time.

He's walking in a parking lot, wearing a dark grey outfit, white colar, and short cloak. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Ah screw it- here it is... If it's been seen- This thread shall be cut!

But while we're on it: Someone on the official Trek XI board said that he thinks Quinto is wearing some Romulan clothes, whereas I always assumed that it was just some kind of disguise to hide the real costume. It may have been discussed before but what d'ya think?

It's really hard to make out what he's wearing. It couldn't have been that expensive though- the little green tag on his cloak looks like a sale tag.

The clothes he's wearing are VERY SIMILAR to those worn my Mark Lenard in "Journey to Babel." And, as much as can be hoped for, similar to those worn in the animated series episode "Yesteryear."

This is one of the things that made me REALLY HAPPY to see... because the clothing was so perfectly linked to TOS Vulcan gear, stylistically (and not those damned ROBES everyone seemed to wear later on!)

EDIT: Oh, and look at the scene where Spock arrives on the Enterprise in TMP. Compare what he was wearing in that sequence to what you see here...

Do you know my finacee? I get that a lot from her. Seems I pay attention to what I want, and disregard all the rest.

There's a mottled look to his blouse that resembles some of the texturing on T'Pol's outfits on Enterprise.

mmm T'Pol... I half expect her character to have a scene in the movie. She would probably still be alive.

Well that's a whole new problem now too- computers have given anyone with an ounce of skill the ability to photoshop out those stamps.

I used to be an archivist, and Belar is correct in pretty much saying that the creator of any work has to protect their piece as much as possible.
