However ive found a World Music version of the Doctor Who theme tune preformed by Mantra on ABC TV show Spicks and Specks.

Presented by Adam Hills, or the guy with the false leg from Mock the Week.

I missed that episode of Spicks and Specks. That's an awesome sound. Love the didgeridoo sound in the theme song.

I was about to pitch in and say 'Heyy, Spicks & Specks is our show here in Aus..get your own anecdotes.. but yeah ok, I don't always watch it.

PS, Myff is sexy, in a half-a-slab kinda bogan chick sorta way..

And that is an awesome sound. Seriously, they should do something like that some day..As the actual theme tune, I mean.

Love it. Though I prefer the fourplay version, which I can't seem to find on youtube anymore.
However I am one of thouse weird people who thinks the best theme tune was Mcganns movie theme so what do I know.

I liked it, too. It had a very epic sound to it.

The theme tune has never been as good since they electronicified it around Peter Davison's era. It's lost its haunting quality now.

The best iterations were those heard from seasons 1 through 17, but I quite liked the early JNT era one myself.

I never much cared for the 2005 orchestrated one or the slight revamp of it, but I am warming to the current one. I just wish it would shed the orchestrated elements...
