Species 6339 (Infinite Regress)

Dingo

Captain
Captain
I remember watching the episode Infinite Regress last night. One of my favorite episodes which on one hand made me feel sympathy with Seven for her plight and an utter distaste of the Borg (already existing). I found Seven's actions in Survival Instinct to be reprehensible, however.

It occured to me that it was possible that the synthetic pathogen that Admiral Janeway used against the Unicomplex in Endgame sounded suspiciously similar to the one used by Species 6339. I wonder if the data collected from the first encounter was utilized at a later date to come up with that particular assault on the Borg.

I found myself rooting for Species 6339's efforts to retaliate against the Borg. I wonder if they were able to infect another Borg ship with the damage vinculum?

For a one-time species on Voyager, that Species was quickly a favorite of mine (my first favorites among Voyager aliens will be the Hirogen, followed by the Vidiians).

Interestingly enough, I decided to name a CrossFit-esque workout I came up with 'Species 6339' and this is the fairly grueling 50 minute invention:

30 minutes for as many sets as possible of:

6 x L-pullups
15 x Kettlebell swings (35 lbs. plate in lieu of Kettlebell)
30 x Flutter kicks with a 35lbs plate held over my chest.
20 x Incline situps
15 x Medicine Ball Slams

Followed with 20 minutes of cardio training (on the elliptical at L 13).

Any thoughts on this species or this episode?
