Anyone going to give this a shot?

From Kurt Sutter, writer/producer of The Shield, comes Sons of Anarchy, a dark drama set in Charming, a sheltered community watched over by a renegade motorcycle club intent on protecting the town from the newcomers that threaten it. Jackson "Jax" Teller (Charlie Hunnam) is one member of the brotherhood, who finds his own loyalty to the group tested when he experiences its increasing lawlessness and notoriety, while at the same time adjusting to life as a father. But confusing matters are Jax's mother (Katey Sagal) and stepfather (Ron Perlman), two ruthless individuals who happen to be the masterminds behind the club.

Jax grows weary of the increasing lawlessness of the motorcycle club he is involved with. His life becomes more unstable when he discovers his crack-addicted ex-wife has prematurely given birth to his son.

Positive Los Angeles Times review.

I haven't decided if I'm going to watch the premiere tonight, or record it to watch at a later date. Depends mostly on whether or not I've gotten enough school work accomplished before the episode comes on. In any event, the commercials have made it look interesting and the inclusion of Ron Perlman certainly makes me want to give it a look, so I'll have it watched by the end of the weekend at the very least.

So it was a little weird at times, but I'm intrigued. Most of it I enjoyed, but I think I'll have to give this episode another watch before the second one; it felt packed full. I'll be giving it a few more episodes to see if I want to stick with it long-term.

^ My thoughts exactly.

Better than I thought it'd be, but it's not must see, by any stretch.

I'll be here for the next few weeks, though. Pilots are usually the weakest.

With all the macho, testosterone, badass dick-waving, the only people missing were Michael Ironside, Lance Henriksen, William Forsythe and Michael Biehn.
