Sonic The Hedgehog Saturday Morning version.

Now this was a friggin' brilliant saturday morning animated show from the 90's that is a true cult classic, so much better then the comical weekday "Adventures" version.

I mean this show had some action, character, emotion, dark themes, a small bit of humor and great animation, i loved this show since it came out on ABC in 1993 at the age of 11 and i also developed the hots for that hot alien squirrell chick Princess Sally who is such a major league babe for a furry.

I watched a few episodes of it I recall.
My main memories are just Sonic's obsession with "chillie dogs." I think he mentioned them in every single sentence he ever said

It was americanised, he does have an obsession with hot dogs.

Yeah I used to watch it, it was shortly after Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was released, and I remember a certain episode where Sonic is trapped in a cage, and he says "I'm going to need some Super Sonic strength to get out of here". I was so excited, I thought he was going to change in to super Sonic, but alas, it wasn't until Sonic X he finally did that in a TV series.

Yeah I remember being pissed off when I was little because I really wanted to watch the show but my parents would make me go outside and play

I really enjoyed this show when I was younger, my brother and I were so disappointed they didn't make Sonic games for the SNES because we really wanted to play them due to this show.

The Nostalgia Critic did a review of the Sonic TV shows.

Luckily when i was 10 in 1992 i got the Genesis with both Sonic games, i was hooked. I even got the comic in december of that year as i started collecting them all the time.

Being a Sonic freak I loved it. I never liked Tails' role though - he was my favourite game character and in every single TV show he's a whiny child who shows flashes of intelligence once a season.

I did like Bunnie and Antonie though. And this version of Robotnik was probably the best of them all.
