Sonic Screwdriver becomes (sort of) real.

This story popped up on my facebook feed earlier this afternoon and it doesn't seem to be anywhere else other than on the Radio Times website. Anyway, seems some egg-heads in Scotland have made a breakthrough with ultrasound technology and have created a prototype sonic screwdriver.

The story is here and the implications of this technology could very well be wide reaching in it's application, doubt it could double as a Tricorder type devise though.

I love the sonic screwdriver. It's the lightsaber of DW. I wish the Sixth and Seventh doctors had used one.
