Prolific pop lyricist Gerry Goffin, the ex-husband and songwriting partner of Carole King, died today at the age of 75.

Very sad. I was a big fan of their songs. If you haven't already, see the movie, Grace of my Heart. It is a highly fictionalized account of a songwriting romantic duo who are just like King and Goffin. I haven't seen the currently running Broadway chow.

Saw Beautiful only a few weeks ago. Wow! King and Goffin were a stupendous songwriting team - I never realized how many songs for which they are responsible.
