The OP probably intended that we exclude British bands and songs sung in English but the last time that I checked, the UK was in Europe -- Nigel Farage notwithstanding -- and English is derived from languages spoken by Germanic tribes in the region of the base of the Jutland peninsula as well as from Norman French, Latin...
