Someone probably won't be on SMALLVILLE ever again

Turns out Sam Jones III (Pete Ross on the show) has been arrested for being a major drug supplier.

Apparently he's been doing it for a while and they sent an undercover guy to make a deal with him.

Sam ended up getting a nice double set of bracelets to try on.

Seems the type of drug involved and the amount means he's in about as much trouble as a person can be without being a murderer.

A shame. I don't know the guy, but had hoped some day we might see Pete on the show at least one more time. Guess unless they recast, that's not going to happen.

Here are a couple links

I was hoping to see Pete again on Smallville, but the writers didn't handle that character well.

I know Sam Jones III won't get 20 years, I just hope he can learn from this and there is a chance for him to make something good happen after he has paid his debt.

I know people joke and I joked in the other thread but lets be serious, people screw up and I knew some one who served time for dealing coke and it was a felony but he is doing good now.

FREE PETE!!! :techman: no more jokes.

In other news, Annette O'Toole probably won't be on SMALLVILLE ever again.

John Schneider probably won't be on SMALLVILLE ever again.

Amy Adams, Krista Allen and Cobie Smulders probably won't be on SMALLVILLE ever again...

Michael Rosenbaum won't either, he wants to put Smallville behind him.

Actually he's met with the producers about returning later in the season. One of the producers mentioned it in an interview with TVGuide.

I will believe it when I see it...it would be great. Do you have a link?

It was always lame the way he left. After everyone else on the show knew about Clark Pete should have returned.

They can always recast Pete Ross...other shows have re casted characters before. I agree that the way Pete's character was handled in Smallville wasn't great. I didn't really get sense of their friendship from the comics, the secret was a strain on their friendship that Pete couldn't handle as we later learned in his return appearance two years ago. Interesting that Chloe has done such a great job at being a sidekick and a friend (until most recently anyways) safeguarding Clark's secret and Pete wasn't able to handle the stress.

I also read about Michael's meeting with the producers a few months ago...the TV guide article that NX refers to is also I believe his problem shaving his head and not wanting to wear a bald cap which the producers suggested as an alternative, it seems he's enjoying his hair post Smallville. I would not be surprised if Michael returned for one more appearance if they have their series finale this year or next. The producers hinted at Comic Con this year that Lex can't be dead so he's out there some where (maybe stuck in Ollie's head as per my theory) or managed to survive the bomb blast.

What if they died his hair blue/green? Then blue/green screened it?

Did they ever decide if he was enhanced by the meteors?

If his hair came back, he might be less "amazing"?

Then of course "Lex" could be wearing a wig like "he" does in the movies.

I'd heard he was NOT opposed to the baldcap idea, and that he felt that would be up to the show runners. I'd also heard him say something about him being on Smallville ever again as a "won't happen" thing, tho'.

I'm guessing he may not even know if he wants to come back for a visit.

As for the wig, that's something Lex has never done in the comics unless he was in disguise. The current version of Lex is proud of his appearance.

Green hair? Maybe, but I doubt it. (Tho' yes, they did prove on the show that he and the 1989 scarecrow kid were jointly Smallville's first meteor freaks. Lex's power? Incredible health and vitality. Cured of asthma, survived enough poison to kill a dozen men, etc.)

I'm hoping Lex comes back looking pretty much as he always did. (Baldcaps, if done right, can be very convincing.)

As for him being "inside Ollie" somehow, I can't see how. Of course, in the comics Lex had a very nasty experience years ago that led to only his brain being alive, a new body being eventually cloned around it.

I have no doubt the SMALLVILLE writers are aware of this, or if not, can easily come up with the same idea themselves.

Hmmm...

Didn't the OP intend this as a thread about Sam Jones III?

Fuck Sam Jones.

The only thing I'm curious about is if this kid is Flash Gordon's grandson?

The green hair I suggested, was meant to help with cgi animation to invisibilize Michaels hair. Green screen technology? It was in all the papers.
