So it finally happened.. DARPA awards GVXT contracts

The M1A3 is still planned, but no one has a photo of it yet. In the meantime DARPA is moving forward with the idea I posted about 5 years ago here.. Small, fast vehicles that are networked to replace the heavy armor model of ground combat. 8 contracts are being awarded.

Yes, as with any other program, it might be cancelled, but I think the US is not the only country that is trying to move away from heavy armor.
