Willow? I admit I haven't seen that in over 10yrs but that didn't cross my mind.
LOTR-lite perhaps, which one could argue Willow was I suppose I just visually don't recall it comparing to SWATH.

Kristen Stewart, who shot to fame as Bella Swan in "The Twilight Saga" films and has a starring role in "Snow White and the Huntsman", jumped to the top of Forbes.com's annual list of highest-paid actresses on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old earned an estimated $34.5 million from May 2011 to May 2012 and pushed Angelina Jolie into fourth place.

,I saw the movie last week while I was in the Maryland/Washington D.C. area, and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. There was a definite 'Willow'-esque vibe to the film, and, as someone who really enjoyed that film and thinks it is rather underrated, its similarities to Willow very much worked in its favor.

I'm not the biggest fan of Kristen Stewart, but shr was fine in the film and gave a believable performance as Snow White. It also didn't hurt that she had really good chemistry with Chris Hemsworth and decent chemistry with the actor who played her childhood friend William.

I also liked Charlize Theron's performance as Queen Ravenna. She made a very effective main antagonist and brought a fresh approach to the familiar character of The Queen from the film's original source material.

So how different is the Extended Edition? I'm debating between renting the EE from the Playstation store, or just waiting and getting the original version on DVD from Netflix.

I couldn't imagine much watching it and a couple cursory glances online sounds like it's not much was added (IMDB can't figure out what was added and DVDTalk says "There is not much difference between the two, but the extended cut includes a few extra scenes near the beginning of the film.".

Have you seen it yet? It's kind of meh, a bit like Wrath of the Titans in tone.

No. It was one I decided to wait and see when it came out on video. They had a 10 minute preview on the Playstation store that I watched and really enjoyed though.

I enjoyed it. It's one of those movies where you have to just see for yourself, very polarizing I think.

I did enjoy it, going to pick it up on BD soon, just haven't gotten around to it as other more important things are taking importance at the moment.
