Small parts perfectly cast

^^ Cannot change what? Why the speed at which yesterday passes. Because that is what Kirk asked him to change. Sorry Kirk, old boy, 50 fps is all I can do when showing the flow of history.

They never ask the Guardian if it can send them back to a specific date. And TBH, the Guardian is pretty useless as a time portal if it can't

My point exactly. Spock asks for a different action. As I said twice before, Kirk asks for a playback of history. Spock asks for access to a specific date. Spock has to jump through not knowing whether he'll get there in the morning or at night, but he'll get there on that date. Kirk just wanted to watch the show.

Also, Kirk and Spock did not know exactly when McCoy jumped to, so, what date?

And you got to figure that a science station was established in the interim between COTEOF and Yearyear, one that pestered the Guardian with all kinds of operational questions that Kirk & Co. failed to think of in their moment of crisis.

Ted Knight did a TON of cartoon voices, man. And he did a great job at it. TAS was lucky to have him.

In "Yesteryear," Spock orders up a specific day and time in history like he's looking up a movie on Netflix. That's a mistake that could've easily been fixed by double checking the script for COTEOF (an episode that D.C. Fontana rewrote, so presumably she would've remembered). But it was just a half hour cartoon and she probably just decided to do whatever moved her story along the fastest.
I completely agree with all points quoted here.

Some female guest stars in small parts -- all memorable (notice the first season tilt) :

Patricia McNulty as Tina Lawton ("Charlie X")
Susanne Wasson as Lethe ("Dagger of the Mind")
Julie Parrish as Miss Piper ("The Menagerie")
Natalie Norwick as Martha Leighton ("The Conscience of the King")
Alice Rawlings as Jame Finney ("Court-Martial")
Miko Miyama as Yeoman Tamura ("A Taste of Armageddon")
Beverly Washburn as Lt. Washburn ("The Deadly Years")
Pilar Seurat as Sybo ("Wolf in the Fold")

I remember Barry Atwater as a rebel soldier in a short called "Pickets". Got to see it several times in history class in both elementary and junior high school. As I recall, it was at least nominated, if not won, best live action short feature at the Academy Awards. Twice it was shown to the class in concert with "Incident at Owl Creek".
