In TMP’s closing credits, the name of second assistant director Doug Wise is rendered in a smaller font than everybody else’s name. Anybody know why?

Not too sure, I checked MA and IMDB just to see if there was anything else about it, ordinarily i'd assume he was a last minute replacement brought in, however I can't be sure about that

Robert Wise was the director, Doug Wise might be a relation, could have been a prank on one or both of them by the team that put the credits together.

Not a prank.

Yes, Doug Wise is related to Robert Wise. Nephew, I think. The smaller credit is so the originally-contracted Assistant Director isn't overshadowed by the last-minute addition of a Second Assistant Director (esp. who also happens to be related to the Director).
