Small, Discreet, Cheap GPS trackers?

Does anyone know of any such things?

Don't want to get into too many details here. We've got a bit of a custody situation going on in the family, and we want to be able to tell where a child is when with the other party without them knowing such overtly.

Need something small and cheap that can be put at the bottom of a back-pack and won't really be noticed.

I think you'd better off discussing this with an attorney first before hiring a surveillance expert.

Yeah, this sounds like something you need to take up with an attorney and not TrekBBS.

ETA: Allow me to amend my point for greater clarity. What I mean is that asking for advice about purchasing and placing a GPS tracking device on a child without the opposing party in a custody dispute knowing about it is a bad idea. I don't mean that you intend to do anything harmful or not in the child's or children's best interest, but it could be potentially illegal depending on your state, not to mention potentially damaging to your or whoever else's custody case this is, which is why I said you should bring it up with an attorney first and not TrekBBS. We do have a couple of lawyers here (not going to name them in case they don't want to get involved), and if they wish to offer you advice in a PM they can do so, but it's best not to discuss this publicly.
