No it didn't. The only difference between Skyline's assholes and Cloverfield's assholes is that the Cloverfielders decided to take a walking tour and do some filming while they bitched and argued.
That, by-the-way, was how I knew Skyline would suck after the first fifteen minutes. I just didn't know how much until the ending.
