I have a hard time knowing how to vote on this one. The Sisko sounded fairly frog-like at times, then again, some very famous songs feature the singers singing in a frog-like way. So I'm not sure if that is great or horrible. LOL
Sometimes sisko sounded real good, others a bit flat, but i think that was due to the acoustics in the studio. As ive heard sisko and vic had to rerecord the singing in a studio. Sounded like the reverb in the studio was real dead too
The final chorus when sisko and vic are belting it out, is so damn cool. I hate lounge-crooner jazz, however that ending always makes me smile and sing out aloud.
He did just fine! It wasn't his particular style, but he can probably fake his way through anything (except country) with that Trained! Theater! Voice! of his.
A jazzy Sisko-Kira duet would have been a real kick.
I voted 'not bad'. But it was really better than that, I suppose. I mean, Avery Brooks is no James Daren...but then, Avery Brooks never made his living as a singer, and James Daren did.
For an actor who is not known for being a singer, I thought he was great.
He wasn't really good, but he wasn't really bad, either. At first, I thought it was rough, but as the song progressed he did much better. I think it started out a little too spoken word, but then changed into actual singing. Now, that is one of my favorite "cast" moments.
