Always sad news to announce the death of someone of the likes of Sir Clement. Far from being the grandson of Sigmund, brother of Lucian, and the father of Matthew and Emma, he was perhaps best known to our generation as a longstanding star of Just A Minute as well as a legendary deadpan performance in an old dog food commercial.

He'll be missed. :(

Very sad news, surprising too. Just a Minute won't be the same without him. :(

Just one of those faces that you seem to see as you grow up through the years, i had no idea he was still alive though.....Still that a good run.

R.I.P.

I was surprised and saddened to read about his death.

Coincidentally, I was just chatting about him to a friend the other day. :(

He was also a member of the "band" (along w/ Christopher Lee and other notables) on the cover of the Paul McCartney and Wings album "Band on the Run". He and the others from the album cover were also in a concert film/video of the song "Band on the Run". He was a frequent guest on the old Dick Cavett show, and I made a concerted effort to catch all of his appearances on that show.

He will be missed.

I will admit to being an irregular listener to "Just a minute",but Mr.Freuds deadpan sense of humour always left me in a better mood.
Can't say better than that.
RIP.

And also a Member of Parliament (while still doing Just a Minute), and an interpreter at the Nuremberg trials, and a dozen other brushes with the edge of history...
...and to throw in a couple of tenuous sci-fi connections, obits have mentioned that as a child his with new CS Lewis and was the inspiration for Lucy Pevensie, while his niece Esther played a Cryon in Doctor Who -Atack of the Cybermen (and is married to David Morrissey, last Christmas's Next Doctor).
