Simon McCorkindale RIP

Simon McCorkindale, perhaps best remembered by SF fans for his 1980s series Manimal, has died of cancer:

It's rather a shame that his career never seemed to recover from that rather infamous show. He was easily the best part of that show (well, except for Melody Anderson). I also remember him well from the spy series Counterstrike.

The first time I came across him was in Quatermass at the back end of the 70s. I've always thought of him as one of "our" actors ever since despite the fact I don't think I watched him in anything else. RIP.

I remember a friend from grade-school had quite the crush on him. Only 58? What a shame.

I remember him from Jaws 3-D...Manimal (ABC!)...and Wing Commander...

He pretty much looked the same throughout all those years.

Actually, I remember him most from Falcon Crest - not from any scifi thing. I used to enjoy his performances on Flacon Crest though....
