TUC was a rip-off of Holst' 'The Planets'
No, it was a homage. "Rip-off" implies there was no attempt to acknowledge the ST VI soundtrack's influences.
Also, space movies that try to be at all serious are required to rip off ``Mars, the Bringer of War''. See also: The Right Stuff, Apollo 13, From The Earth To The Moon, and many other movies and made-for-TV movies that amount to fan fiction of those.

Not to mention that little-known flick...what was it's name...Star Wars? Even Darth Vader's theme was reminiscent of Mars.

Speaking of Rosenman's score for TVH, it's almost a direct copy of his score for the 70's animated Lord of the Rings movie.

When I hear Rosenman's scrore for TVH I keep thinking I'm in the Carotid Artery about to be sucked in a whirlpool or I'm going through the heart as it is being stopped for no more then 1 minute. Ot any other part of the upper body heading to a clot in the brain.

Actually, the Pirates soundtracks sounds a LOT like "the Time machine" (the new one)... Good reason too, same composer.

Hell, the last notes right before the Death Star blows up in Star Wars are identical to the ending of Mars
