Sign petition for William Shatner: www.wewantkirk.com !

After reading all the news about William Shatner NOT being in the new movie, not even in a cameo appearance, a grouo of trekkies all over the world decided to start an online petition for The Shat.

Please go to http://www.wewantkirk.com to sign the online petition for William Shatner. Sign it if you feel he should be in the new Star Trek movie as Kirk. He did die in "Generations" but death is rarely forever in Hollywood in general and especially in science-fiction. Leonard Nimoy will be in the movie as Spock so it's only fitting that Shatner should be there as Kirk as well. And Shatner wants to be in the movie as well...!

Now, what would've happend almost 40 years ago if fans had taken that attitude? No third season. No "Spock's Brain". No "The Way to Eden".

It's apathy like this that keeps Trek fans from getting what they want. :D

I signed it, even though I think this is all a ruse and The Shat is in it, anyway. He's being way too much of a crybaby for his stories of woe to be real.

Definitely won't be signing this. Not fond of having anyone from the original cast in this except for maybe a voiceover at the beginning.

i second that. Both Shat & Nimoy shouldn't be in this movie. Their time has passed and its time to pass the torch to the younger actors.
