Absolutely. I still have the original SI the article appeared in, too. Read the subsequent book, and it was great. What a fun, fun bit that was. These days, people are in such a rush to throw out their lame "April Fools!" jokes that they're just lame. Sidd Finch was fantastic, and a lot of people bought into it, too.

And I can't believe I missed Plimpton's clue in the lead-in so completely.

I bought into it as I started, but the more I read, the more I was thinking that it couldn't possibly be true. It finally occurred to me what the date was. Even knowing that it wasn't true, it still plays out as a great story.

These days, with the internet, and so much information out there about every little thing, it would be hard to pull off another Sidd Finch story.
