Yes I know its been done before but its been a while.

As some of you know I recently got my tounge pierced and I am quite proud of myself for getting over my needle phobia. (When I get blood drawn I very often pass out)

Soon I will be getting a tattoo discretely placed on my mid/upper back. I have been planning it for some time and it has alot of meaning to me (yes I researched the meaning of the symbol). It will be a dragon and phoenix facing each other with the words I will survive above it.

What do you have? Piercings tattoos? Something else? I WANNA SEE! Just...no private art please I dont think its board safe!

Its pink and purple, the design is called a checkerboard. I got pink and purple cuz its prrrty.

I got a tounge stud becuase it was in my face, I dont like sharp things near my face at all! However it is still somewhere fairly hidden.

This was my first tattoo which was my 30th birthday present to myself.

These next two (my third and fourth) I got before my wedding earlier this year. The first one is "Serenity" for the fact that my life was very serene with my then soon-to-be wife (and still am) as well as the obvious geek reference. The second one was for the fact that I was born the day after St. Patrick's Day (which I always associate the clover with my birthday) as well as the fact that I was getting lucky on the wedding night.

The second tattoo that I got was of the Christian fish on the back of my neck but it is thin and I want to get it redone and thicker. I tease my wife that I want the "Star Trek" insignia above my heart but she says that enough is enough. I would like to get more but being in social services I cannot have visible tattoos.

I can see why you would love clovers. If I were to do that it would have to be a pumpkin or a witches hat seeing as my birthday is the day before halloween.

I may or may not get that part added on one day. I wasn't too sure how I felt about it at the time, but I definitely knew I wanted the symbol (my Starfleet delta/IDIC hybrid thingy), so I started with that.

Oh, I'm so glad this is here. Next year, I want to update mine. I need something on my back. I don't know if I want to extend the existing one across the back or if I want to do something down the spine. I was thinking of doing something down the spine, nothing large, I'm thinking small, yet running down the center down to my lower back, for an effect that looks similar to a caduceus. As you can see, both are the tribal family, so I need to stay in that arena. Advise please!
