Do think this movie should introduce a Jar-Jar like alien? If it did, what should it be? I think it should, and it should be someone serving on the bridge to bring comedic humor and relief.

Only if Kirk gets to kick them off the ship partway through the film in demonstration of his command presence and general manliness.

Thankfully this is not 'Star Wars', and the director is not George Lucas. Otherwise he would find a way to squeeze in some child-friendly character he could sell merchandise of.

Exactly. Star Trek started as a show that didn't dumb itself to lure adults, nor did it ever cater to the kid crowd in order to appeal to kids, because it was family-friendly enough as it is. No Ewoks, no Jar-Jar, and no Chibi-Anakin.

*eagerly awaits for Abrams' Tribbles*

OH GOOD GOD HELL NO! That's what makes me frakkin' wince everytime someone mentions the Phantom Menace! WINCE! WINCE!

...is this a trick question?

I only ask because I can't come up with a single reason to say 'Yes.'

There isn't one, and since it really is a little late to be introducing comedy aliens into this movie, I'll just close this now. :)
