Should the Romulans be the focus of the Picard Show?

Should the Romulans be the focus of the Picard Show? I have heard some people say the shambles and they should have Picard deal with a new villain or situation or just have Picard be an archeologist, still be captain of the Enterprise or just work on a vineyard in France, but to me, I think Picard dealing with the fallout of the collapse of the Romulan Empire is more interesting and logical then that other stuff.

I think Picard would be too old to still be captain of the Enterprise or be archeologist and Picard just tending to a vineyard is a boring premise for a show, I think Picard being a high-level diplomat makes the most sense, it plays to his skills, is a position worthy of his career advancement and would be more mental then physical, which would suit his age and to me dealing with the fall out with the destruction of Romulus would be the greatest diplomatic challenge of his career. Also there are a lot of threads from the TNG era involving the Romulans that went nowhere, there was a dissent movement on Romulus that wanted to join with the Vulcans, Sisko and Garak tricked the Romulans into declaring war on the Dominion, the Romulan military supported Shinzon's coup, killed off the Senate and supported an attack on Earth, till they got cold feet and now Romulus is destroyed. Those are a lot of threads with no real pay off.

Also, the Romulans are the least developed major civilization in Star Trek, they never got the same focus the Klingons, the Borg, the Cardassians or even the Ferengi got, they never got a character like Worf, Seven, Quark, Garak, etc that was a great character that fleshed out their society. Some people have complained they are lame villains, but if that is true, it's only because the writers did not develop them as much as the other civilizations and I think they have potential to be an interesting civilization if they got more focus.

I think Picard having to save people who were his enemies is interesting, despite the Romulans being his most consistent enemies, he has no reason to hate them, like he does the Borg, so we can see his compassionate side. However most of the Romulan fleet likely survived the destruction of Romulus and now the Romulans have nothing to lose, the Romulan hawks would be more aggressive, less likely to rely on political gamesmanship and more willing to use force. Picard having to save the Romulan dove faction from the hawk faction would be interesting.

In fiction, a man is often defined by the challenges he has to overcome. Picard show where he works on a vineyard for 10 episodes would get boring pretty quick. :D
If The Chateau Picard Show was modeled after something like Oz And James's Big Wine Adventure, I think it'd be pretty good.
