I think they should but they would proably need to be redesigned. I wouldn't mind seeing other hand held weapon's added to the mix as well. I wonder what a Klingon Axe or Machette would look like or a Mace. Jason
Into Darkness had some cool new (unspinnable) Bat'leths. If Discovery is gonna be grittier, maybe we'll get to see a beheading or two...
How about a high-tech take on seige weapons such as a trebuchet? We could see how the Klingons handle a ground war. I like your idea of a mace designed by a good creative artist.
From a practical standpoint, the bat'leth is a terrible weapon, but it is nonetheless iconic. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it appears.
What cultcross said. As dumb as they are, bat'leths are about as iconically Klingon as rubber foreheads, so it'd be weird not to include them.
Well, the Klingons got along just fine without any bat'leths for all those years before TNG... But then they were portrayed as a weapon that had a long history in Klingon culture. I think they should be saved for certain ceremonial contexts. Even then, seeing as how Klingons have a duelling tradition... I want a quick-draw duel at fifty paces with disruptor pistols sometime instead of having them always opt for some kind of sword. Kor
No Klingons should be ottoman commies not samurai Viking bikers Leave the batleths to the grossly obese Cosplayers at conventions
I want to see more three bladed spring loaded knives. Or even, since its an earlier time than SFS, a more original non spring loaded version. "Never forget that the other player is your enemy and the next move is a trap!"
