Some studios have no clue about Marvel comics or DC comics or even any comicbook source material.

Poor Examples of destroying a franchise
Elektra so bad even Stan Lee refused a cameo and Stan guest stars in just about everything, even stuff he hasn't wrote
Superman Returns 3 hours of Singer's boring, expensive trash
Clark Kent is officially damaged goods
Catwoman, Halle Berry is normally a competent actress, she got a razzie for this one


WB has made mistakes but IMO the biggest offender is Fox

Fan 4 = sucks

Xmen 3 = sucks

Now imagine Fantastic 4 done Incredible style, a real blockbuster that all the family and kids can enjoy and not a crap movie the critics would trash

The Fantastic Four, while not as dark as some others (and still retaining the ability to be dark when they want to), are not a comedy act.

The Phoenix Saga is not suitable for such treatment either.
