Sarek family dinner
Burnham, Spock, Sybok, Amanda and Sarek, shortly before Spock leaves for Starfleet and Sybok is exiled. It's awkward as hell.

Livin La Vida Lorca
Fleeing Emporer Georgiou, Lorca materialises on the USS Buran, but not his Buran and he has to figure out where he is and what's going on. Although to be honest I'd prefer a full-length prequel episode covering Lorca appearing on the Buran to his recruiting Burnham and hatching his plan.

Holodeck hijinks
In the early 25th century, Reg Barclay is programming a simulation of the USS Discovery's famous mission. But he can't decide whether it looks better with the retro skin (turtleneck shirts, jelly bean buttons and blinky lights) or the modern one (modern unis, 3D holograms etc). Fandom goes bonkers.

I'd like the ReguLorca version of this. How he deals with suddenly finding himself in the MU. It can even tie into...
his eventual fate as shown in the 'Drastic Measures' novel, where he's being held prisoner in the MU by parties unknown.

Others I'd like to see:

- The Farragut disaster (the cloud creature's actual attack on the ship).

- Discovery is on leave at a starbase. There is also a Starfleet Marine transport docked there. The two crews interact with each other and (as is tradition when Starfleet's marine and naval divisions interact, and I should know, because I just now made it up) try to outdo each other with practical jokes.

- Federation President Richard Robau. You KNOW you want it. :mallory:

- Some of the captains we saw in TOS that had gone bad (Ron Tracey) or crazy (Matt Decker) in their prime. Suggestions: Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Tracey, Benicio del Toro as Decker

- Earth and Betazed are destroyed by parties unknown! Daniels shows up through a spore on Tilly's shoulder. He explains that he has a tough choice to save the Future of the Federation! He reverses time and Earth is spared. Betazed stays destroyed (proving once and for all we are not in Prime timeline anymore)
