Shore Leave 2016

Only thing I could find is a pre-panel post by @Dayton Ward, not spilling out anything other than that something will be announced/named:

Okay, Star Trek book lovers, come and get the latest lowdown on upcoming titles! Join us at 5pm in Salon A for all the deets!

I know of at least one new project which can finally be given a title and perhaps a little tease.......................................

And he posted what is was about:

For those of you who are interested, I was able to announce the next Star Trek novel I'm writing for Pocket: HEARTS AND MINDS. It's another Next Generation tale, set after the events of HEADLONG FLIGHT, the book that's still winding its way through the production process. I don't know yet about the publication date, but I'm guessing late 2017.

This will be another exploration story, with the Enterprise continuing its investigation of the Odyssean Pass, and a planet that--despite everything listed in official records--has apparently been visited before by people from Earth.

Naturally, this begs for some kind of twist for Picard and the gang, so....

Asked in the comments if the novel really was From History's Shadow III he replied:

There is definitely a good deal of connective tissue between this book and From History's Shadow and Elusive Salvation.

Make of that what you will.......

On Twitter, when I mentioned it'd be fun to see Picard's crew interacting with Gary Seven's gang, Dayton replied:
I've changed things up a bit this time, but there are still links between this one and From History's Shadow/Elusive Salvation.

Of course, I hadn't seen the description about the Enterprise encountering an unknown planet that had been visited by Earth at that time, so I was just basing my speculation off the "History's Shadow Part 3" bit.

Oh, cool idea - I love it when authors make connections between different eras they've written in (like how various Mack stories keep visiting or being influenced by the Mirror Universe).

Vulcan mind blown could you please tell us any news about the new Star trek books coming out please. Any news about a new Enterprise novel. I really haven't seen any news announce ments about the books from Shore leave yet.

I'm sorry, my brain is not good at remembering things and writing them down while listening, but I was there for the panel.

I'm pretty sure we've already heard about all of those. They really seem to save all the big announcements for Shore Leave like they used to. I've gotten the impression over the last few years that that was more of a Marco Palmieri thing.

And alot of fun it was. Now though it seems Margaret lets alot of new info out on a podcast every so often.

I think so, pretty much, since he now does the same thing for Tor Books, in the same time slot formerly used for the Pocket presentations (Friday at 9, just before Meet the Pros).
