Sherry Jackson on Gene Autry Show (1951)

I've been watching some of the restored episodes of "The Gene Autry Show" on the Westerns Channel, and I noticed a really good child actress who looked so familiar. Sure enough when the credits rolled, they said Sherry Jackson.

So I made a few screen shots to give an idea of what she looked like as a little cowgirl at about age 9 or so.

Sherry Jackson as "Andrea," in case there is still someone who doesn't know who she is.

Definitely "programmed for alarms" in this show:

Was this ever used for the caption contest?
That particular one is my own screen cap, where I worked hard to find her firing a gun to match another screen cap. I personally never put it into a caption contest. It was part of my "TOS-Wild, Wild, Wild West Crossover" guest-star series. (Sherry was in "Wild, Wild, West," too.)

This is not the thread I expected.

I was hoping for Sherry Jackson to be 18 years old plus one day. And maybe ol' Gene had caught her rustling cattle and was giving her a good spankin'.

She's one of the hottest women ever from the original series...didn't she do Playboy at one point?

In her mini-bio at the IMDb, her career sounds like it started off really great as a child star, but ended up a little sad. The last paragraph says:

"Her image changed drastically in those years from a cute, smart TV tyke to playing sexy, smoldering love interests. Besides the customary guest parts on TV sitcoms and dramas, she developed a minor cult audience playing beehive brunettes in lurid low-budgets actioners. You could count on seeing Sherry as a biker babe, scantily-dressed party girl or man-eating femme fatale. The work was strictly routine and her career pretty much fell away by the 1980s.'

In these two Gene Autry episodes above, she really did seem like an exceptional little actress. Better than the run of the mill kid on TV.

God fucking damnit that woman was HOT! And this coming from a 23 year old guy.

That's about how old she was when she did Trek, so that's fair. :)

She was still quite stunning when SFC interviewed her for their special edition trek episodes.

Why haven't those been released? I was hoping they'd be an extra on the box sets... but nooooo. :klingon:

Or Helen Noel. I can't wait to see who opens the first Helen Noel thread on the new board.
