The number of people here is well over 200 at any given time. I have to ask, who are these people? More media wonks looking for Trekkies who hate the new film? LOST fans? Fans of being lost? Google "I feel lucky" clickers? Romulan refugees? B&B? A drunkin' Orci? Is that plural or what? And should engineering look like Willy Wonka's factory? Oh, that's another thread.


And the film didn't make $120m (almost there, if you count the opening internatinoal numbers) as I'd bet a whole 3000 quatloos on. If some green guys with bats come looking for me, tell 'em I'm on Talos IV.

I don't think its as bad as you point out: its mostly probably ordinary folks who enjoy talking about trek and enjoying the company of like-minded people who are intrested in how the new film or trek in general affected them. The media will probably not be so intrested in finding disgruntled fans now that the film has been a hit.
