That was cracking, Shatner looks well, great for in his 80s.

I was there for this. Shatner was amazing (like sincere and personable and warm to everyone) and the set tour is unbelievable. I'll put a review together soon.

This was so close to me; was tempted to try to make it happen, but so damned expensive too. :/

I also attended. It was pretty amazing. Extremely expensive if you wanted any sort of close up experience with Shatner, but it was worth it. Got a picture with him and my daughter on the TOS bridge. Priceless!

I imagine the Shatner bridge experience was similar to actually being in the opening of Generations (but on the proper TOS bridge) like something out of Ready Player One! expensive but what a great once in a lifetime memory :)

This is surreal. I was looking at the pics on James Cawley's Facebook this morning and my brain kept telling me it was a photoshop. 2018 Shatner on 1960's Star Trek sets. Awesome.

That's so cool Like you were on the bridge. Squee.
Anyone willing to post a photo of them with Shatner on the bridge? (Blank out your face if you want to) Just to see how it looks.

If there were 1400 people willing to pay an average of say $100 then they made a heap of money. Not that I begrudge any actor any money they make. Gives the fans opportunity to see the actors close up.

Uh...to actually do more than get a casual glance of Shatner was more like $1000/person, IIRC.

When I can figure out how to attach a link to my video of Shatner weekend you can see ' Shatner Ticonderoga Trek ' on youTube.

I'd recommend that all TOS fans should go to on the tour of their sets up there in Ticonderoga. I went for the first time last year just to go on a regular tour. It was amazing! They reconstructed the original Desilu set layout exactly by using the original blueprints. And they've paid huge attention to getting all the little details correct by studying the film frame by frame. As a long-term, hard-core TOS fan, I noticed a ton of those details that they got right. They've also recreated lots of props as well.

Then, when I saw Shatner was going to be there, it was a no brainer to make the return trip this year!

I sure hope the very first question was, "How does it feel to be back on the Enterprise Bridge?"

This may be a stupid question but are you allowed on the set to take pictures and the like.

Oh yeah! You get to take as many pictures as you want! They don't want you to take video though. And, you get to sit in the Captain's chair! And they'll take your picture in it.
