SG-1 Season 2 - "Spirits"

Kirby

Rear Admiral
So my wife and I are working through my SG-1 DVDs, and last night we watched Spirits. I've seen all of SG-1, most episodes multiple times, but I swear I had never seen this episode before.
I either somehow skipped it upon my initial run, fell asleep during it, or it was so bad I completely repressed all memories of the episode.

I'm pretty sure that it's the first time we see RDA checking out of an episode. He suffered an injury in the SGC and couldn't make the jaunt through the ol' orafice, which was shot on location in some woods somewhere.

The episode had potential, but came off really cheesy with bad acting all around (except Hammond and Jack), the alien's makeup was very Star Trek-like, and a guest actor who appeared to be auditioning for a Bill and Ted movie.

Bit of an odd episode if i remember correctly...and according the to StarGate wiki, Teal'c is flying low at one point - make of that what you will!

It's an episode that has its moments. I like the Native American guy who heads back to the SGC. There's just something about his casual acceptance of everything that's so entertaining.

Spirit Alien: "We are your guiding spirits."
Native: "Oh, okay. Don't care. Can I go home?"
