SFX magazine - favourite SF movie of the 80s poll

Yeah I voted for the three Trek films. Also put down Conan the Barbarian and The Terminator. And I gave a sneaky vote for Red Sonja because it's probably not going to get much love...

just to note you can vote for Trek V at the bottom in the 'other' not on the list box :)

I voted for TWOK but I couldn't in good conscience vote for the other two at the expense of the likes of Aliens, Raiders and Back to the Future etc.

It was near impossible to choose 10 so tried to do it based on favourite 80s movies growing up in the 80s as didn't see most of the 15/18 rated stuff like Aliens, Blade Runner, Predator,Thing etc until the 90s (its not like no one else will vote for those) so voted - 2010, BTTF2, Batman, Superman II, Temple of Doom, Terminator (on vhs), Treks 234, and my wildcard 'other' not on list.. Trek 5 :)

even that was tough as no room for likes of Empire (vhs), GB, Firefox, Raiders(on tv), Crusade, Krull(vhs), MOTU, VTAK, or more 'others' - Superman III & IV (annoyed couldn't get SIV in as that was a firm fav!)

fyi - Trek II came 18 and Trek IV came 43 (out of 50). BTTF was 1st (cant find a list online so must just be in this months magazine)

18. That's not a bad result for TWOK. It's up against some seriously stiff competition, all time classic movies.

Tough poll. The '80s were a golden age for sci-fi. Especially if you were a kid in the '70s and badly needed more than what was on offer in those days.

oh gosh! arrived late to the party!!! :brickwall:where is the result of that poll? i would love to see it.
