Alright, you merry pranksters, this week we take a look at those characters for whom death is no impediment to stardom. From resurrection to zombies to clones to alternate realities, post your avatars of people who should be dead, but just can't get out of the limelight long enough to stay that way. (The Cylons should sweep this category.)

You know the rules-- max 140x140 and 70kb, has to be from sci-fi or fantasy, and most important: have fun.

Great theme. :bolian: Many options.
But I went for the obvious. :p

It was tempting......

I watched Star Trek II just today with a friend who's only seen a few eps of TOS and nothing else, and she was completely shocked by Spock's death. I had the heart to tell her afterward that spock will return. (might as well, since the title Search For Spock sorta gives it away.)
It's such an effective scene from a great movie. Loved Search for Spock as well though.

Dayaaaam, there goes my idea.

Daniel Jackson, perhaps? ;)
Or Ben Kenobi, Lestat the vampire, Buffy, Angel, Darla twice over, mirror Jennifer Sisko, Dax, Lindsay Ballard from Voyager 618, Will Yun Lee's character from Witchblade S1 (ghost), Stark (Farscape S2), Aeryn Sun (S3 ep1), Harvey, the whole cast from Dead Like Me, Chuck from Pushing Daisies, the piemaker's dog, Captain  Jack from Torchwood, Doctor Who, immortals from Highlander, Jor-El, the cheerleader from Heroes, the corpse bride or another character from Tim Burton's universe, any given goa'uld, or even Jack O'Neill, for that matter...

Just pitching. :D:D

There is also this beautiful classic, Captain Gregg from The Ghost and Mrs Muir (Rex Harrison). That movie is very close to my heart. I may be changing my mind...

Do tell. I've always thought that films was a tremendous example of atmosphere achieved through lighting and just the right amount of dialogue and delivery. Seriously, I'd liek to hear what it is you enjoy about it, if possible.

^^Ahh! Glad to see I'm not the only one.

Certainly.
Great story - very romantic. He's a ghost since before the beginning.
Great cast: Gene Tierney, Rex Harrison, George Sanders, and Natalie Wood as a child.
Great era (1947).
Great photography.
Great music.
Good book from which it is adapted.
And, last but not least, great director: Joeph L. Mankiewicz.

A must see! :)
