Contest: ENTER SF&F Avatar Contest: Where does he get those wonderful toys?

Alright, took long enough to come up with something, and here's what I got:

So, for a long time we've known that scifi and fantasy make for cool toys. The first Superman action figure was made of wood in the early 1940s, and even that was predated by tie-in toys for Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers.

Eventually it got so far that characters, costumes, vehicles and whole scenes are put into movies and TV shows so they could be turned into toys. And, of course, there are whole franchises like Transformers and Masters of the Universe that started out as toys.

So this one is all about toys and the characters/vehicles/locations/scenes that inspired them (or vice versa). Thus, for this contest, one entry should consist of two avatars, one depicting the toy and one its inspiration/representation in media.

I'll give three entries (again, pairs of avatars) per user. As usual, they may not be larger than 200x200 pixels and/or 1 Mb data, and obviously keep it safe for work.

Do video games count as toys?

 

You know, I hate when I have to do this, especially in a case such as this where I really like that you have properly matching shots, but in all honesty, I can't bring myself to call video games toys. Toys, at least to my understanding, need to be physically tangible. Besides, video game adaptations feels like it could be its own avatar contest theme.

If it helps, there have been several Indiana Jones toys throughout the decades, even based on that specific sequence, like a Lego set and a playset from Hasbro's action figure line.

Fair enough.

 

Well, first off, try as I might, I can't really argue Elmo being fantasy. But, second, only one toy avatar per entry (so you'd have to pick one), and that Toothpaste Dispenser Elmo is right out, because that's not an actual toy.

 

In that case, I'll just enter the first one; Tickle Me Elmo Vs. Jet engine.

The Official Star Trek Helmet:

 

Not sure about this one, I have to say. It is certainly stretching the "inspired by" theme of the contest. I certainly wouldn't say that toy helmet was inspired by that particular headgear of Spock's. I can't find anything on it, but I also suspect it was a case of label slapping and the helmet had been previously a toy police helmet or something of the kind.
However, I have a suggestion on improving the entry, because that particular toy inspired the inclusion of such helmets in Lower Decks. If you'd switch out the TOS avatar for one from Lower Decks with the helmet, I'd have no problem at all with it.
