SF&F Avatar Contest: "The Way We Were"

What I'm looking for here are avatars of shows, actors, characters, etc. as early as possible - within reason - in the life of their related franchise. Or perhaps even something from as early as possible in YOUR viewing life. It can be approached creatively, with some flair and fun. Take some chances and try to come at this from different angles.

The poll will probably go up late Friday evening 02/27/09, around 10:00 pm (EST) or so.
