Congratulations to both of you! Since it's a tie, you can work out between the two of you how you want to handle the next contest, whether working together or one ceding to the other.

And a big thank you to everyone who entered and/or voted! :techman:

Is there a way to make GIFs out of videos from Youtube? There were couple of shots in the trailer for the Italian series Anna that I really wanted to try to see if I could turn into GIFs, but I couldn't find a way to do it.

There are sites and apps that can save YouTube videos. Back in the day I used to use Paint Shop Pro which had a tool that could import the frames from a saved video and create an animated .gif. A harder way would be to open the video in a player like VLC that can take screen caps and use that for 5he source images.

That Paint Shop Pro was really slick and that or a similar tool would be the way to go. I haven’t done that in years though so I’m pretty out of the loop. I’m not aware of one that can do it directly from YouTube.

Well, thanks for the votes and congratulations to @ThreeEdgedSword . I'll see if I can come up with something.

I've no idea, but I'd be really interested in learning how to make gifs, too!

I myself work fully with free online tools. To make a YouTube video into a gif, I use either https://gifs.com/ or https://makeagif.com/youtube-to-gif. To edit the gif (cropping, resizing, adding text, etc.) I use https://ezgif.com/.

Thanks, I already use EZ Gif for editing GIFs off of Giphy and Tenor.

I don't often do gif av's, but that's the way I tend to do it (Still have Paint Shop Pro and the Animation Studio it came with).
However ezgif looks good too.
