Thanks for all the votes, everyone. That was a close one!

The theme for this contest is Death. No real limitations. Just that the avatar depicts death. Make of that what you will. (And yes, sentient robots/androids etc. can "die" for the purposes of this contest)

EDIT: Oh, and a Time Lord regenerating doesn't count, since they don't die before it happens.

Very nice, but it might be more effective if there was a more contrasting color on the text. It's probably just my aging eyes, but I'm having a hard time reading it.

Regarding the Doctor Who exception:

Superman, Spock, Bill and Ted and others all sort of came back, and regeneration has often been referred to as 'death' (or related words thereof):


"I was dead too long this time, it nearly destroyed the regenerative process".


"Killed by an insect!" etc.




So I think regenerations should count....
