...only voted for one as that was around when I stopped going to theaters for a long, long time. Honestly have no clue what over half of those are from lol.

It was hard voting for just three this time. But I did vote, and my vote was in the 1990's way: EXTREME!!!

I voted for three... but shouldn't I get five votes in 2016 votes when adjusted for inflation? :shifty:

Not a lot of alternates this time. Just one... this is the other one that I had considered entering, and was pondering whether I should change my entry to. (And surprisingly, it doesn't look like Kai "the spy" included it in his alternates.)

(OK, it's actually two alternates from one movie, because I couldn't decide which one I liked best! ;) )

I was curious, so I counted... of the 13 entries, I've seen 9 of them... but precisely 0 of them were ones I saw in a theatre! ;)

I had actually forgotten that movie came out in 1999. I thought it was from the early 2000s. Should have checked, I guess.

Still, it's not like I had a shortage of alternatives. I actually didn't use all the ideas I had. I was about to do ones for The Addams Family, GoldenEye (specifically, the laser watch), The Guyver, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie, Gremlins 2, Robot Jox, The Rocketeer, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, Ghost, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Groundhog Day, Last Action Hero, The Crow, Casper, Dragonheart, Princess Mononoke, Kull the Conquerer, Spawn, Blade, Being John Malkovich, Dogma, Mystery Men, Judge Dredd, Waterworld, Mars Attacks!, The Arrival, The Mask, Rebirth of Mothra, Deep Impact, Soldier, eXistenZ, Godzilla 2000, and The Phantom Menace. Even I had to draw the line at some point, though.

^ My apologies, I didn't mean anything negative by that statement. Always enjoy seeing your alternates! :techman:

And I'm impressed you mentioned eXistenZ. I always assumed that was pretty niche, even within sci-fi circles. (As a Canadian, I am legally required to know of it because David Cronenberg. ;) )

Not taken that way, buddy. Just explaining to myself how I could overlook one of the best (unofficial) Superman movies of all time. We're good.

Hooray for Alan Rickman!

Thanks for the votes, gang. I will try to get a new contest up soon. Any suggestions?

OK, what do you think about "Genre Trek," putting other genre actors in Trek?
Or
Notable moments from the past season of genre TV?
