I am actually glad they are amping up the sex for this movie. The best sex scene we have seen in any TREK Movie is...well...I can't actually rememeber a sex scene in any trek movie.. does Ilya/Decker count??? If it does, then that is nerdy scifi/sex stuff...Some among you are against this choice, but the fact is? It will help fill those seats with men AND, follow along with me now...WOMEN! Couples. And women love romance. Pine will get to show his buffness, and whatever woman he bones up with will get to show us some skin too...which is fine with me.

Hot sex sales...they have to show Kirk being what the general public (meaning non-TREK fans) know him to be...a horn dog.

When it comes to mainstream Hollywood films, I'm rather indifferent when it comes to sex being portrayed.

Seriously, if there's no penetration being shown or at least pseudo-porn, late-night-Cinemax style screwing, what's the point? And this PG to PG-13 style sex... it's a waste of time and not even worth cracking open the tub of Country Crock for.

I like my movies to be movies and my porn to be porn, but that's just me.

There is also the issue of oversexing the new film and making it inaccessible for younger audiences by alienating parents which is something that should be a concern.

I have have mixed feelings about this subject. On one hand im a big fan of getting nekid in movies. I mean Seeing an orian and Uhura in that light makes me warm and fuzzy inside. On the other hand I would like my 8 yo to see this movie. Owell Ill just tell him to cover his eyes like we always do.

Sex is a vital part of every normal person's life. Even in the 23rd century
I don't see why we can't have a nice tasteful sex scene in Trek if writers and director find it necessary.
What's the big deal ?

did i say it was a big deal anywhere in my post??? defecating is also a vital part of every normal person's life. it doesnt mean i want to see it on the big screen! i just don't think it's necessary , that's all.
