I havent been to this site in what feels like years! I used to be a regular and I've been looking around and thinking of finding some new Trek novels to read I knew the lovely people here would know of some to recommend! :)

I'm a fan of all the Treks really. But what happened to Riker and Deanna after they left the Enterprise for the Titan? What happened to Voyager after they got to Earth? What happned to Kira after she took command of Deep Space Nine? And what the hell happened to Worf?

Are there novels out there that are considerded "canon" that are also decent reading?

The FAQ is your friend. :) The section you're looking for is here. You'll also find some information about the Titan series in the subsequent section.

No, because no novel has ever been considered "canon" and never will be. But given that we're talking about "series follow-ups" (which is to say, series for which "canonical" episodes are no longer in production), the term as applied to the novel line is essentially meaningless.

And INMHO, the word was always essentially meaningless anyway.

Oh, and the books are all decent reading. Some of them are amazing reading. Enjoy. :techman:

That. I hear a lot of "But it isn't canon!" and have to restrain myself from saying "So what? You want real fiction as opposed to fake fiction?"

No, canon is just the core body of works that depict a universe that doesn't exist. What the people argue over isn't canon, it's their misunderstandings of what "canon" means.

I apologize to everyone in this thread who didn't realize my response to Geoff Trowbridge was intended as a joke.
