First off, using contemporary human technology from the 70s, what would Benton need to make it a fair fight against a classic Dalek... Unless you think John can take the metal bastard bare knuckled?

Then?

How would that match play out?

If Ace can nail one with a baseball bat, then Benton could do it with an inflatable mallet! Not sure if he'd manage to win it in the coconut shy though, they're pretty tough to do! Therefore Benton would likely be defeated by proxy!

Classic series Dalek (no forcefield) - a LAWs should take care of it. Even an Uzi, aiming for the eyepiece (and we saw in Resurrection that a Steyr-AUG certainly does the job)

Agree on the M3, disagree on the grenades. In ep1 of Remembrance a Dalek was unaffected by three rifle grenades in an enclosed space.
