This action-packed alien invasion thriller will open nationwide in Mexico on September 17, followed shortly thereafter by US theaters. The film was produced, directed and written by Angel Mario Huerta

When a young girl is found amid the wreckage of an accident caused by an alien craft, Mariel (Alejandra Barros), head of a secretive task force investigating the paranormal, must solve the riddle of a frightening message the girl delivers which suggests humanity is on the verge of extermination by a hostile alien force.

"SERES: GENESIS" is based on the wildly successful Mexican graphic novel published by Huma Comics. The novel is part of the Seres Universe series covering the three films and continues on in "Seres Chronicles". The first graphic novel in the series will be available in the US in an English language version starting in October.

This is the first part of a trilogy. SERES: GÉNESIS is the beginning, SERES: EVOLUTION predicts the future of mankind and SERES: EXTINCTION will reveal the secrets of our destiny.

This is a low-budget (under 2 million dollar) sci fi film.

Looks kinda cool. Definitely a SyFy channel budget, but it certainly feels like they're trying to take it a lot more seriously and thoughtfully than one of those abominations.

There should be a Canadian invasion movie. People would pay big bucks to see Toronto get blow to smithereens.
